A former Atwima Nwabiagya District Chief Executive, Asare Bediako is on his knees pleading with contenders of John Dramani Mahama to step down.

Mr. Bediako says Ghana needs former President Mahama so badly that what his contenders need to do is rally their support behind him for victory 2024.

Speaking on Akoma FM’s ‘Wonsom’ Saturday, January 7, 2023, the former DCE left his seat, went on his knees and asked Dr. Kwabena Duffour and Kojo Bonsu, who have expressed interest in the NDC flagbearer position to step down.

He says even though democracy gives every member of the party the right to contest, anyone battling John Mahama for the NDC flagbearer slot is a competition unhealthy for the party.
