The LAB, a Policy Think-Tank of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Friday, November 24, 2023, met with the leadership of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).

Amongst the issues discussed include industry challenges confronting the group, with the LAB sharing with the Association, the party’s vision for the country and sought the group’s perspectives and inputs into same.

The deliberations focused on John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy proposal as an anchor for his overarching vision to transform Ghana.

According to the LAB, the policy seeks to transform Ghana into an export-led economy through agriculture modernisation and mechanisation for increased production.

It also explained that the 24-hour economy will provide value addition through the promotion of agro-processing and manufacturing, and incentivise the private sector, particularly indigenous companies to take the commanding heights of the Ghanaian economy.
