The Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has reiterated the government’s commitment to expanding technological innovation and youth development in the country.

She has asked Ghanaians to “hand over the steer” to the Vice President, her husband, so he can come and transform the lives of Ghanaians with technological advancement.

Speaking to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members in the Afigya Kwabre South Constituency of the Ashanti Region Tuesday, October 08, 2024, she said there are many youth who need support to establish their businesses, which is something Dr. Bawumia wants to do to support them.

This, according to the Second Lady, is in line with the Bawumia Digitilization agenda to empower one million youths if the NPP wins the 2024 elections.

“I know there are many youth here who have complemented school with brilliant ideas who want to start their own businesses. He says he is going to establish an SME bank so that if you are a business person be it a man, woman, adult or old, you can go there for money to start up your business.

“He says if you vote for him, the first thing he will do in first 100 days in office would be train young people in digital work. He says he is coming to improve agriculture and everything so he says you should give him the steer on December 7th,” she stated.

Madam Bawumia added that the welfare of women will also be prioritised so as to enable them improve their livelihood through skill training, adding that, this represents the surest way of increasing their incomes and better their lives.
