President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated his stance that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the best person to take Ghana to greater heights amongst the contenders in this year’s election.
He says the Vice Vice President and flag bearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has shown time and again that he is capable of handling the challenges Ghana is currently going through.
According to him, Bawumia has demonstrated utmost commitment to his (Akufo-Addo) his cause and believes he is the man the nation currently needs to avoid sinking further in hardship.
Akufo-Addo says Bawumia has never lied to him throughout the period he has worked with him, something he says is a sign of the Vice President’s high integrity and capability.
The President, speaking to a gathering of professional groups in Kumasi Sunday, November 24, 2024, where he made the statement, added that John Mahama failed in his first opportunity and does not deserve to lead the nation again.
He admonished the citizenry to put their trust in the Vice President just as he has, because he has never told him a lie throughout his time with him over the years.
“This is a man who has never lied to me,” Akufo-Addo declared, “and I trust him wholeheartedly. Ghanaians should also place their trust in him because he has shown time and again that he can deliver. Bawumia’s dedication to my vision and the development of Ghana is unquestionable, and I am confident he will continue to build on our progress,” said Akufo-Addo.
Highlighting Dr. Bawumia’s readiness for leadership, President Akufo-Addo stressed that he is the right person to lead Ghana from the current troubles the country is faced with.
The comments adds to the numerous endorsements made by President Akufo-Addo urging the citizenry to choose Bawumia amongst the lot since he has gathered all it takes to take Ghana forward during his time as Vice President.
He had earlier made a similar comments in Wa in the Upper West region when he visited in October this year, extolling the Vice President’s unwavering dedication to his cause for the past almost two decades.
