A former Member of Parliament for Damongo, Adam Mutawakilu, has been appointed by the President as the Acting CEO of Ghana Water Limited (GWL).
A statement issued by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, indicated that Mr. Mutawakilu’s appointment was to take effect Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
It stated further that a consultation with the Public Services Commission upon a recommendation by the GWL Governing Board as mandated by the constitution, led to the appointment.
The President conveyed his congratulations to Mr Mutawakilu and requested a formal response indicating his acceptance of the role within 14 days of the receipt of the appointment letter.
“Please accept the President’s best wishes,” the statement concluded.
