Belgium-based Lawrence Agyekum has been handed a late call-up into the Black Stars.
The debut call-up for the Cercle Brugge midfielder came in the wake of an injury to Auxerre’s Elisha Owusu.
Owusu picked up the injury in the French Ligue 1 game between his side and OGC Nice.
The Ghanaian was substituted in the 76th minute.
Agyekum, on the other hand, featured in his side’s 0-3 loss to Anderlecht.
He played the entire duration with one shot on target.
He is on loan from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
Coach Otto Addo named an initial 23-man side for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers between Chad and Madagascar.
The first game, against Chad, will be on Friday, March 21 and the second will be on Monday in Morocco.
