Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo is convinced his side will see a lot of the ball in tonight’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.
The Black Stars will host Chad’s Les Sao on Friday, March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Ghanaians have been training since Monday for the game.
In the pre-match press conference, Coach Otto Addo said he will count on the experienced players for a win and hopeful of possessing play.
“I think surely we will have a lot of ball possession and we have to attack,” he stated.
“This is for sure. But other than that, I can’t go too deep,” he told the press.
A win for the Black Stars will take them to the top of Group I after Comoros lost by 0-3 to Mali on Thursday night.
Ghana have been winless in their past nine competitive games.
Well aware of this, Otto Addo says they are starting 2025 on a clean slate.
“We will have the confidence that everything is in our own hands,” he said.
“This was not like it was when we played for the AFCON qualifiers. The start was very, very bad. From there, we were chasing the points.
“This is a big, big mentally, a big, big difference as a player. For this, you have to be very, very strong, especially when things go wrong and you have lost a match before.”
