The Elections Committee of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has announced the opening of nominations for the Association’s 2025 National and Regional Executive Elections.
The nominations opened on Friday, May 16, 2025, and will close on Friday, May 30, 2025.
This is contained in a press release issued by the Elections Committee chaired by Mr Peter Agbeko on May 16.
“This marks a key milestone in the democratic calendar of the Association, and the Committee urges all eligible members with the passion and competence to lead the Association at either the national or regional level to step forward and pick up nomination forms,
The press release explained that “The Elections Committee is mandated to organise, conduct and supervise the GJA elections, with technical support from the Electoral Commission of Ghana. The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana will oversee the conduct of the elections on Monday, June 30, 2025.
It named the positions to be contested at the national level as; • President • Vice President • General Secretary • Organising Secretary • Treasurer • Public Affairs Officer.
