Management of Ghana Water Limited (GWL), Accra West Region, have announced an emergency shutdown of the Weija Treatment Plant for repair works.
According to a release issued on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, by the Communications Manager, Solace Akomea, water supply to parts of western Accra will be affected.
The interruption will be between 10:00am and 5:00pm, the statement indicated.
The affected areas include: Korle-Bu, Dansoman, Mamprobi, parts of Weija, Gbawe, Malam, Anyaa and Kwashieman.
The rest are Ablekuma, Darkuman, Kaneshie, Tesano, Odorkor, Sowutuom, Lapaz, parts of Achimota, North Industrial Area, and adjoining communities.
