The Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has entreated the people of Central Region to embrace peace as always for stability and development.

She was speaking during a courtesy call on the Oguaa Omanhene Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II at the Emintsimadze Palace in Cape Coast on July 25.

The courtesy call, on the chiefs and people, was to show appreciation for their love and support for her, President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before and after the 2024 general elections.


She thanked God for everything and indicated that the country is for all of us so Ghanaians should all contribute to its development and also to ensure there is constant peace and stability.

Political advisor to the Vice President, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo expressed hope that the economy will fully bounce back under the leadership of John Mahama and Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.

He noted that the 2025 mid-year budget which was presented to Parliament on July 24, by the Finance Minister was a testament to the good work of the NDC government.


“This is a government that does what it says,” he said.

According to him, the mid-year budget was full of good news that would improve the lives of Ghanaians.

“I was not surprised that the Minority could not stand it, but they should wait, more of such good news will marvel them,” Mr Ampofo promised.

The Oguaa Omanhene Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, was grateful to the Vice President for the visit and applauded her for her selfless and quality leadership style.
