TM Entertainmentz, the management of late highlife singer, Daddy Lumba has announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated Daddy Lumba USA & Canada Tour, originally planned to mark his historic return after 25 years.

A statement issued by the team on July 26 “It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that officially TM Entertainmentz announces the cancellation of the highly anticipated Daddy Lumba USA & Canada Tour.”

The cancellation of the tour follows news of the highlife singer’s death.

“Earlier today, we received the devastating news of the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, known to the world as Daddy Lumba. His departure has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of millions across the globe,” the statement added.

“This tour was more than a series of concerts-it was a celebration of a lifetime of timeless music, of unforgettable memories, and of a voice that became the soundtrack to so many of our lives. While we had looked forward to honoring his incredible legacy on stage, we now shift to honoring him in spirit,” TM Entertainmentz noted.

TM Entertainmentz further expressed condolences to Daddy Lumba’s family and urged fans to respect their privacy in this sorrowful moment.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Fosuh family, his fans, and all who loved him. We also ask for continued prayers and privacy for the family as they navigate this time of grief. All tour-related activities have been cancelled. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

“His music will live forever.”

Meanwhile, former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has eulogised the late legendary highlife singer.

In a Facebook post, he said he received the sad news of the passing of renowned music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba) with regret.

Describing him as “my dear friend,” Mr Akufo-Addo said that Daddy Lumba was a pantheon among musical greats of all-time and had a special connection with his fans and the entire nation.

“His hit-making songs will remain lasting contributions to my presidential journey and will forever be etched in the annals of political campaign of the New Patriotic Party. He will be sorely missed.

“May he peacefully rest in the Bosom of the Almighty until the Last Day of the Resurrection, when we shall all meet again,” he wrote on Facebook.
