Former Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu has been appointed the Head Coach of the national U-20 men’s soccer team, the Black Satellites.

Konadu, whose last job was with Black Leopards in South Africa, replaces Desmond Sakyi Ofei, who leaves to concentrate on the Assistant Black Stars coaching role.

A former Ghana international, Maxwell Konadu comes to the role with a wealth of experience.

In the Ghana Premier League, he handled Asante Kotoko, Legon Cities, formerly Wa All Stars, Techiman XI Wonders and lastly Nsoatreman FC, with whom he won the MTN FA Cup in 2023/24.

He also coached the locally-based side, the Black Galaxies, to glory in the WAFU Cup in 2013 and 2017.

Max Konadu will be assisted by former Kotoko coach Johnson Smith and Dreams FC coach Winfred Dormon.
