South African side Black Leopards have sacked former Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu with immediate effect.

The Ghanaian coach was sacked following Lidoda Duvha’s poor run in the Motsepe Champi onship, the second-tier league in South Africa.

They are currently in 10th place after losing 2-1 to Lerumo United on Saturday.

Konadu joined Black Leopards in July last year following a successful run with Nsoatreman FC, winning the 2023/24 MTN FA Cup.

He also led the team to a fourth-place finish in the league.

However, the former Black Stars caretaker coach has not been successful with his stint in South Africa and is set to return home.

His former side has also gone on a disappointing run this season, making the headlines for the wrong reasons on Sunday after a fan stabbed a rival fan in the 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko.
