The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko for breach of its regulations.
It is alleged that both clubs failed to control their players, leading to a brawl.
According to the Committee, the incident “constitutes misconduct and brings the name of the game into disrepute.
They have until Wednesday to respond to the charges, the statement noted.
Meanwhile, Nsoatremn have been slapped with another charge for failure to control their supporters.
These supporters, it was gathered, threw missiles onto the pitch, invaded the field of play, assaulted an away team player, attacked members of the Ghana Football Association’s authorised media partner, and destroyed property belonging to both the away team and the media partner.
Nsoatreman FC are also said to have obstructed a GFA-authorised media partner from filming the match.
The club has been given up till Wednesday, February 5 to respond to the charges.
Already, the Prof Amoah Koramansah II Park has been banned by the GFA as an immediate measure following the fatal stabbing of an Asante Kotoko fan on Sunday.
Though Nsoatreman FC won the game, Francis Yaw Frimpong was stabbed to death while exiting the grounds.
