Hosts ASEC Mimosas Women have been crowned winners of the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers. 

By the feat, they also qualify for the first time to represent the sub-regi on in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League to be held in Tanzania.

This follows the Ivorians’ beating of Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens 8-7 on penalties in the final at the Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro.

The final match, between the winners of the two groups at the tournament, had ended one apiece after extra time.

Therefore, the winners had to be decided on penalties and it was the hosts who came out triumphant.

For the first time, as a result, there will be no Nigerian or Ghanaian club in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

ASEC Mimosas’ shot stopper Nina Dabilgou was adjudged the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

Her teammate, Habibou Ouedraogo, was also adjudged Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.

Bayelsa Queens’ Shakirat Moshood received the Golden Boot for finishing as the top scorer in the tournament.
