Former Black Starlets striker Sadick Adams is demanding of Hearts of Oak to immediately renew the contract of goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and make him the highest paid player in the domestic league.

“Start marketing him now so he can be sold for your profit,” the former Atletico Madrid player advised.

“Don’t wait for his contract to be left with 6 months or 1 year for him to go free. This is his time and this is football.”

This advocacy from Sadick Adams comes following the sterling performance of Hearts of Oak goalkeeper for the Black Stars.

Asare was the only locally-based player called up for the two international games against Chad and Mali.

He conceded a late goal in the game at N’Djamena but put up a sterling performance in the 1-0 win over Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Posting his picture on Instagram on Wednesday, September 10, Sadick Adams wrote: “Only you can write and tell your story how you’ve worked to be where you are today.

“I don’t know how many years left in your contract with Accra Hearts of Oak and how much you are earning but, Accra Hearts of Oak need to renew your whole contract by making you the highest paid player both in the club and in the Ghana Premier League with a minimum wage of $10,000 monthly salary.”

Benjamin Asare will lead Hearts of Oak in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League, having been named in Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s 33-player squad.
