President John Dramani Mahama will be the Special Guest of Honour for the opening game of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The game will be between Accra Hearts of Oak and debutants Hohoe United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
President Mahama will also do the honours of officially kicking the season open before the game.
A curtain raiser between the national U-17 men’s soccer team, the Black Starlets, and Auroras FC will also be played.
The occasion will also see multiple award-winning Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy performing to entertain patrons at the stadium.
The 2025/26 season is scheduled to end in May next year.
