Police has arrested one David Kwodwo Prah Afful, the man captured in a viral video inciting violence against public officials and government workers.

Afful, whom according to a police statement issued Saturday, September 13, 2025, was arrested based on intelligence-led operations by the Ghana Police Service.

Kwame Nkrumah the Second, as he is known on social media, was arrested around 2:20pm at his hideout near Kasoa in the Central region on Saturday.

“The Ghana Police Service through sustained intelligence operations have today, 13th September, 2025 arrested suspect David Kwodwo Prah Afful who was seen in a viral video calling for violence against public officials and other government workers,” the statement read.

The Police said Afful had used his social media platform to issue threats against government officials, journalists, and civil servants, particularly those driving vehicles with official green number plates.

He also allegedly threatened to set markets ablaze and urged his followers to commit similar violent acts.

He is currently in custody and will soon be arraigned on charges of issuing threats against public officials and inciting violence.
