Before the land was called Bono East, the great Bono Kingdom flourished, a proud people made up of traders, farmers, and warriors who lived along the gentle bend of the Black Volta River.
Their capital, Techiman known as “the cradle of the Akan people,” for it is said that the ancestors of many Akan clans began their journeys there.
One day, TV3 Ghana came calling on the beautiful maidens of the land to come compete in its beauty pageant, Ghana’s Most Beautiful. After several days of scooching among the lot that turned out, Nana Yeboah Afia Konadu emerged as the chosen one, just like Nana Asaman and Ameyaw Kwakye I, to lead them against the other fifteen contestants from the various regions.

She emerges not just as an individual but as the embodiment of royalty, specifically the Queen Mother of Bono, who has navigated a plethora of personal and professional hurdles, yet remains shielded by divine grace and favour.

Nana’s passion for beauty pageants was evident from her early days. She attended Good Shepherd Educational Institute, then proceeded to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Girls Senior High School. Her interest in pageantry only grew stronger at the University of Education, Winneba.

Since 2022, Nana has been on a winning streak, claiming titles such as Miss Bono East (2022), Miss Ecowas Ghana (2023), and Miss College Ghana (2024). Her confidence and charisma have paved the way for her success in the pageant world.
And now, she has made history by becoming the first representative from her region to enter the Grand Finale of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, following the region’s creation out of Brong-Ahafo in 2019.

Nana’s journey to pageant stardom has drawn deep inspiration from the iconic Nana Ama McBrown, the celebrated actress and media personality whose confidence and versatility light the Ghanaian entertainment scene. Guided by the rhythm of Daddy Lumba’s timeless hit “Akwanoma”, which serves as her anthem of motivation paired with a delicious serving of banku and okro soup, she’s unstoppable.

For Nana, her ultimate aim for participating in the spotlight of beauty pageants is to make an impact in society and to help reduce unemployment through technical and vocational skills.
Slow but sure, she has not only been transformed but she won the hearts and minds of Ghanaians through her craftsmanship, creativity, and visually appealing display of her accessories and props. This has gotten her nine nominations and three Best Costumes awards.

Being the possible first winner of the converted GMB crown, Nana believes she has what it takes to wrestle out the other four contestants for not just the crown, but the cash, Car and Bragging Rights of 2025 Ghana’s Most Beautiful Queen on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the National Theatre.

It will be a night of dreams, drama, and destiny as these five finalists light up the stage in a battle of pure talent, grace, and brilliance.
