Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency, Mustapha Gbande, has offered guidance to party faithful who have not yet secured employment or government appointments, advising them to remain resolute and continue supporting the NDC administration.

Speaking on 3FM with Johnnie Hughes on October 16, following growing discomfort among some NDC grassroots over their inability to secure employment, the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) urged them to give the party some time to provide opportunities for them.

“I have often engaged a few youths on social media to say that if you are looking for a job, don’t reduce that job searching to a phone call where you only sit on social media, go into the inbox of an appointee and request a job by sending your CV, that is not how it is done. It can also begin when you build relationships over time. Where your capacity can be tested and verified that the job you are looking for, you can do it and deliver.” He explained.

Mustapha Gbande also mentioned that “serial callers who played a key role day and night doing the work of the NDC party, showcasing government are not a cluster of people that anyone will forget. But the question is just when and as to whether they will be patient enough to wait. “

The NDC Deputy General Secretary called on government appointees to prioritise the needs of the party’s grassroots in their quest to serve the nation.

“The party people are the ones who have worked to bring this government to power. It doesn’t matter how powerful a person is, it doesn’t matter the position you occupy, minus the party, you are a nobody. So, when you sit somewhere and you don’t remember the party that brought you in, it’s a necessary evil.” Mustapha Gbande said
