The Adabraka District Court has granted Police Prosecution a warrant to arrest another suspect allegedly involved in the murder of Immigration officer Steffen King Amoah.
At the court hearing on Thursday, October 23, the prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Achana, prayed for an arrest warrant after notifying the court that investigations had revealed the location of Kumi, an alleged suspect in the case.
He noted that the prosecution was still waiting to forward the docket to the Attorney-General.
The court presided over Abena Asor Owusu-Omenyo, then granted the arrest warrant and adjourned the case to November 4 for continuation.
Two suspects are already in custody. Bright Aweh and Thomas Zigah are facing multiple charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder, for their alleged roles in the killing of Steffen King Amoah, a 38-year-old immigration officer.
According to the prosecution’s brief facts of the case, Steffen was reported missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate.
His charred body was later discovered on July 9 at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya, sparking a manhunt and an intensive police investigation.
The accused persons’ pleas are yet to be taken at the Adabraka District Court.
The case, which has been ongoing for the past two months, has already ignited anger from family members of the victim who are lamenting its slow pace.
