Hearts of Oak midfielder Mohammed Hussein has been given up till Tuesday, November 11 to respond to charges of assault against match officials after the 0-1 loss to Asante Kotoko.

Hussein had to be stopped by security officers after charging on referee Reginald Collins Amoah after the game.

The midfielder is facing charges for breaching GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019 and GFA Premier League Regulations, 2025.

Even before the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA hears the case, the club has also initiated disciplinary processes against Hussein.

“These steps are being taken to ensure accountability, uphold our standards, and prevent future occurrences,” a statement issued by management of the club on Monday said.

“Football is a game of passion, but it must always be governed by respect. We remain committed to upholding the dignity of our badge and the trust of our supporters.”

The club has also been charged by the GFA for failing to control its players after the game on Sunday.
