The Chief Justice, Paul Baffoe Bonnie, has called for practical support for the judiciary.
He wants a secure office accommodation for the judiciary, enhanced security for judicial personnel, and streamlined clearance to recruit additional staff and experts.

He said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, on Monday, January 26, to share his vision for the future of justice in Ghana.
He also highlighted reforms in legal education, emphasising training that keeps pace with evolving needs and technologies.

The exchange was marked by mutual respect and a shared commitment to service. As they parted, the message was clear: progress hinges on thoughtful dialogue, targeted reforms, and the courage to invest in institutions that safeguard justice for every citizen.

Speaker Bagbin, in his welcome remarks, indicated that his visit was historic and a call for collaboration between the two arms of Government in consolidating Ghana’s democracy.
