The Ghana Police Service has declared a suspect, identified as Hoyefi, wanted in connection with a series of violent robbery attacks that occurred at Nkaseim in the Ahafo Region.

In a press release issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on February 1, 2026, police said investigations have identified Hoyefi as the alleged leader of a robbery gang responsible for coordinated attacks carried out on December 2, 2025.

According to the CID, the gang is believed to have targeted several key locations, including the Nkaseim Police Station, Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and areas around the Asutifi Rural Bank.

The police described the attacks as well-organised and said efforts are ongoing to track down the suspect and dismantle the criminal network.

As part of efforts to secure Hoyefi’s arrest, the Ghana Police Service has announced a GH¢50,000 reward for any person who provides credible information leading to his capture.

Members of the public who may have information about the suspect’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the nearest police station or call the emergency numbers 191, 18555, or 112.

The statement was signed by Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, Public Relations Officer of the Criminal Investigation Department.

Police have assured the public of their commitment to maintaining safety and bringing all perpetrators involved in the Nkaseim robbery attacks to justice.
