Private legal practitioner Kofi Bentil is impressed with the performance of former Agric Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong in the just-ended flagbearer primary of the New Patriotic Party.
He described Dr Bryan Acheampong as the most significant emerging candidate in the NPP. He expressed the view that if Dr Acheampong carries himself well in the NPP, he stands a better chance of leading the NPP in the future.
“The walkaway winner was Dr Bawumia. The most significant emerging candidate in NPP to watch is Dr Bryan Acheampong, his showing has been surprising. If he manages his life well, there is no question about where he will go. He will go all the way,” Kofi Bentil said on the KeyPoints on TV3 Saturday, February 7.
He was contributing to discussions on the outcome of the election that was help on January 31.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has once again been entrusted with the fate of the Dankwah-Dombo tradition come December 7, 2028.
He secured 100,120 votes out of the total votes cast, representing 56.39% to achieve this feat.
His closest contender, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong garnered 41,856 votes representing 23.57%.
The other flagbearer aspirants; Dr Bryan Acheampong had 32,985 votes – 18.58%, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum- 1,676 votes- 0.94% and Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong- 375 votes- 0.21%.
