Asante Kotoko’s Assistant Coach Prince Yaw Owusu has been given temporary charge of the team following the resignation of Abdul-Karim Zito.
Zito resigned on Monday, February 9 amid pressure over recent poor results churned out by the team.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was the Round of 16 exit from the MTN FA Cup in front of their home fans on Sunday.

On Monday, Karim Zito resigned “with immediate effect”.
Not long afterwards, the club announced a new technical direction with about 13 games to end the domestic season.
“Coach Prince Yaw Owusu is to temporarily take charge of the technical team assisted by Mohammed Hamza Obeng.”
The duo’s immediate assignment is the Super Clash on Sunday.
