The Committee probing the bribery and vote-buying allegations in the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Ayawaso East primary is set to submit its report today, Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the party, Rashid Tanko-Computer, made the disclosure on Ghana Tonight on TV3 on Monday, February 9, 2026.
He noted that the Functional Executive Committee of the party meets every Tuesday where the investigative committee is expected to present its report.
“They are to submit their report to functional executive tomorrow. Every Tuesday we meet and tomorrow being Tuesday, they were mandated to submit their report on the 10th which is tomorrow, the Function Executive Committee headed by the National Chairman, we’ll look at their report and then a decision will be made thereafter,” Tanko-Computer noted.
The setting up of the Committee follows the party’s condemnation of the alleged bribery and vote-buying incidents during its parliamentary primary in the Ayawaso East constituency on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
In a statement issued by the party’s General Secretary, Franklin Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC described the actions as a violation of the party’s values and its broader “reset” agenda.
The party announced an immediate full-scale investigation into the allegations and warned that swift action will be taken against any candidate found culpable.
The statement also indicated that future incidents could lead to more drastic sanctions, including the possible cancellation of elections.
