The Member of Parliament for Ejura Sekyeredumase, Alhaji Bawah Muhammed Braimah, has donated seven motorbikes to the Ghana Education Service in the Ejura-Sekyeredumase Municipality to support effective monitoring and supervision of schools.
The motorbikes were presented to the Municipal Director of Education for distribution to circuit supervisors to facilitate their work across the municipality.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Braimah said the donation forms part of efforts to strengthen supervision in schools to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

According to him, the motorbikes will enable circuit supervisors to easily travel to various schools within their jurisdictions to monitor academic activities and provide the necessary support to teachers.
“My main aim of donating these motorbikes is to ensure that we have effective supervision of schools and monitoring so that at the end of the day we have tremendous learning and teaching outcomes,” he said.

The lawmaker also urged beneficiaries to take proper care of the motorbikes to ensure their longevity and usefulness.
“Machines are like humans. If you treat them well, they will last long for the benefit of all of us. I urge you to take routine maintenance and servicing seriously so that they can last for the purpose for which they were procured,” he advised.
The Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Director of Education, Haruna Akwasi Frimpong, expressed appreciation to the Member of Parliament, noting that the donation addresses a major logistical challenge faced by the education directorate.

He explained that the lack of transportation had made it difficult for circuit supervisors to effectively visit schools across the municipality.
“In fact, he has taken the greatest problem in my office away from me today,” Mr. Frimpong said.
He noted that circuit supervisors often struggled to move between schools in the municipality due to the absence of motorbikes.
“Imagine a director instructing a circuit supervisor to visit a school and the person says he has no motor to go. Even if you give the person taxi fare, how many schools can that supervisor visit in a day?” he questioned.
Mr. Ofori assured that the motorbikes would be properly maintained and used for their intended purpose.
“With this, within a twinkle of an eye, many schools can be visited. We will take very good care of them and ensure that we put them to good use,” he added.
