The Chief Executive of the Youth Employment Agency, Mr. Malik Basintale has urged tertiary students to identify their purpose, build valuable networks and develop the skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive global economy.

Mr. Basintale made these remarks at the Empower Vault Summit 2026 held in Accra. The event brought together students, young entrepreneurs and industry leaders for a day of inspiration, mentorship and skills development.

The summit featured panel discussions and interactive mentorship sessions where industry experts shared insights on leadership, financial literacy and business development.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of self-discovery, resilience, and continuous learning in achieving personal and professional success. They urged the youth to take advantage of digital opportunities, entrepreneurship and innovation to create sustainable livelihoods.

Empower Vault Summit forms part of a growing movement of youth focused conferences across tertiary institutions aimed at equipping young people with mindset, skills and confidence to pursue excellence in their career choices.

The summit was on the theme “Fueling Purpose, Shaping Leaders”.
