The 2024 Running Mate of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo), has said that Easter should strengthen the hope and faith that Christians have in Jesus Christ.
In a post on his Facebook page, Friday, April 3,2026, Dr Prempeh, said Easter should bring joy to Christians.
“Easter reminds us that while the cross speaks of sacrifice, it ultimately points us to victory and hope. It is not a season of sorrow, but one that affirms the foundation of our faith and the promise of salvation secured for all mankind,” he wrote.
“As we reflect on this, we are reminded that the sacrifice of Christ also calls us to responsibility: to live with purpose, to serve with humility, and to contribute meaningfully to the world around us,” Napo added.
According to him, “In leadership, this example remains clear: true service places people first and is anchored in sacrifice, discipline, and commitment to the greater good. May this season strengthen our faith and renew our sense of purpose.”
