The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has announced that applicants who were unsuccessful at the medical assessment stage of the ongoing Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise will be given another opportunity for review.
In a Facebook post addressing prospective recruits for the 2025/2026 enlistment, the Deputy Minister urged candidates who failed the medical screening to revisit the medical centres where they were assessed to ascertain the specific reasons for their disqualification.
He further indicated that applicants diagnosed with treatable medical conditions are encouraged to seek the necessary medical care, as they will be invited for a subsequent reassessment.
According to the statement, the upcoming medical review will be conducted at no cost to the applicants, offering a second chance to those who are able to address their health concerns.
The initiative is expected to provide relief for many young Ghanaians who aspire to join the military but were initially disqualified due to manageable medical conditions.
The Defence Ministry has advised all affected candidates to take advantage of the opportunity and prepare adequately for the review when officially announced.
