Firefighters from Prampram, Devtraco, Ashaiman, Tema Regional Headquarters Fire Stations are currently battling an Industrial fire outbreak in Prampram with additional appliances dispatched to the incident scene.
The above is a post by the Ghana National Fire Service on its Facebook page on May 1.
The fire is believed to have occurred at a Chinese manufacturing firm.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The District Chief Executive for Ningo-Prampram, Raphael Uriel Nartey, who was at the scene to see things for himself told 3news that “It’s a group of companies. They are warehouses. So they deal in different, different items. Some are dealing in clothes, others, oil, and then fridge, televisions, mats, and other things.”
He commended the security officers, the Ghana Police, Ghana Fire Service and other security agencies who were at hand to keep the fire under control.
“They came in their numbers, and they are all supporting for us to get the fire under control,”he said.
