A massive fire has broken out at a warehouse used for the storage of numerous barrels of alcohol at Tema Community 26.
The incidence has prompted an emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
According to the GNFS, in a Facebook post on Sunday, four fire tenders from the Tema Industrial Area, Ashaiman, Tema Regional Headquarters and Dodowa Fire Stations are currently battling the inferno.
Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties as thick smoke continues to rise from the scene.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and there has been no official information on casualties or the extent of the damage.
Authorities are expected to provide further updates as firefighting operations continue and investigations into the incident begin.
