Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have announced the appointment of former Medeama SC Head Coach Nebojsa Kapor as the club’s new Head Coach.
The Bosnian has signed a two-year contract following an extensive recruitment process aimed at restoring the Phobians to domestic and continental prominence.
In a statement dated Saturday, July 25 and signed by Hearts Management, the club’s Board of Directors described the appointment as the beginning of “a new era” for the club.
A UEFA-licensed coach, Kapor brings valuable Ghana Premier League experience, having previously managed Tema Youth FC, Bechem United FC and Medeama SC.
The Board said his tactical expertise, deep understanding of Ghanaian football and progressive coaching philosophy set him apart during the recruitment process.
He is known for building competitive, attacking teams grounded in discipline and youth development, an approach the club says aligns closely with its long-term vision.
According to the statement, Kapor’s appointment is the first of several technical appointments Hearts of Oak will make in the coming weeks as the club prepares for the new season.
“The Board is confident Coach Kapor has the leadership and technical competence to lead Hearts of Oak into a new era of stability and success,” the statement read, calling on the Phobian family to rally behind the new technical team as the club works to reclaim its place at the summit of Ghanaian and African football.
