An aspiring Ashanti Regional first Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Amofa Jantuah, says his target is to help the party secure a massive victory in the region during the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to 3news correspondent in Kumasi on August 1, 2026, Mr Jantuah said he has worked tirelessly to support the party at the various levels, from polling station to national executives, while contributing to party organisation and youth engagement.
He revealed that his vision is to help ensure Dr Bawumia becomes president of Ghana on January 7,2029.
Mr Amofa emphasized the need for strategic data collection and resource allocation, noting the significant role of young voters in determining the outcome of the next election.
He promised to prioritize unity within the party by bringing together winners and losers after the regional elections to strengthen the NPP’s chances in 2028 general elections.
He said he, together with other officers, can make the party more attractive in the 2028 elections.
He said the current executives have played their role, adding that, “I also intend to add on to what they have done, and I would add on by doing the right things so that the party would be more attractive”.
He also added that he will ensure that the party’s structures are strengthened.
“The party is built on structures, and the structures are the polling stations we have. So, my plan is to make sure that we resource polling stations and the electoral areas, because without them we cannot win elections. So, my promise to the delegates who are the polling station executives is that if I am given the mandate I don’t think I would sideline them in anything I do.
If we want to go far then we need to come together. Love is at the heart of everything and that is what I am bringing to Ashanti Region. Anyone who has been offended must be brought on board”, he said.
