Police at Obawale in the Yilo Krobo Municipality have arrested a 41-year-old Accounts Clerk of Klo-Agogo Senior High School, Mr Saviour Attor, for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old female Junior High School student.
According to the police, the case was reported on September 15, 2026, by the victim’s grandfather, with assistance from the Assembly Member for the area.
The grandfather, the Assembly Member and officers from the Obawale Police Station proceeded to the suspect’s residence, where he was arrested and later handed over to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) for investigation.
In her statement to DOVVSU, the victim alleged that the suspect forcibly had unprotected sexual intercourse with her after sending her to buy a sachet of water. She was referred for a medical examination, with the findings forming part of the ongoing investigation.
In his cautioned statement, Mr Attor admitted to having sexual intercourse with the victim at his residence, police said.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
