The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, has urged contractors working on various development projects in the Aowin Municipality to speed up and ensure timely completion.
He made the call during a visit to inspect ongoing projects across the municipality.
The visit formed part of efforts to assess the progress of development projects and identify challenges affecting their completion.
The Minister urged the contractors to intensify work and adhere to agreed timelines to ensure that residents benefit from the projects.
He also stressed the need for quality work and accountability in executing government projects.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive for Aowin, Stephen Morcher, said work has been in various stages of completion. He added that the projects would be completed soon to serve their intended purpose of construction.
Meanwhile, Mr Wilbert Petty Brentum has commended the Suaman DCE Vasco Obour for its efforts toward promoting development and improving infrastructure across the district.
The Minister made the commendation during his inspection of ongoing and completed development projects in the Suaman District as part of his oversight responsibilities.
Mr. Brentum inspected a number of projects, including educational infrastructure and the 24-Hour Economy Market project, to assess their progress and ensure that government investments are being properly implemented for the benefit of residents.
He urged the District Assembly and contractors to maintain the required standards and ensure that projects are completed on schedule to deliver the intended benefits to the people.
The Regional Minister also encouraged the Assembly to continue working closely with stakeholders and communities to identify priority development needs and address them effectively.
His visit forms part of efforts to monitor development projects across the Western North Region and support the government’s agenda of delivering infrastructure and improving living conditions in communities.
