The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with an armed robbery incident that occurred at Ofoase Kokobeng near Anwiankwanta.
The suspects have been identified as Salifu Adamu (alias Scorpion), 25; Abdul Latif (alias Bullet), 20; Samed Abdulai, 40; and Ali Mustapha, 30.
According to police, during the attack on December 8, 2025, the victim, Aliu Mohammed was robbed of his Toyota Camry Spider (GR 8009-15), gold, cash, a cell phone, and a pump-action gun.
The Regional Commander, DCOP Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, told journalists in Bekwai on Friday, December 12, that although police arrived quickly and tracked the victim’s abandoned car to Ofoase Kokoben township, the robbers had already fled.
He stated that two of the suspects, Salifu Adamu (Scorpion) and Abdul Latif (Bullet), were apprehended at the Tweapease Police checkpoint at approximately 6 p.m. on December 9, 2025.
Subsequently, additional intelligence gathering led to the arrest of the other two suspects.
The Regional Commander cautioned criminals to desist from unlawful activities and urged the public to support the police to ensure a peaceful and crime-free Christmas.
