The Ashanti Regional Health Directorate has issued an alert on cases of rabies and deaths in the region.
A release signed by the Regional Director of Health, Dr. Emmanuel Tenkorang, says there had been 4 confirmed cases and one (1) probable case as of Monday, September 12, 2022.
The mortality rate of the cases he noted, is 100%.
The cases were reported from the Bosomtwe, Asante Akim South and Kwabre East Assemblies according to the release.
It also contains measures listed by the Directorate to help avert the situation.
