Kwaku Seidu, 50, popularly known as Kukrudu who is an NPP polling station Chairman at Danyame has allegedly shot his wife, Adwoa, in her late 40s, to death.
The incident occured at Tepa-Danyame in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality of the Ashanti region.
Reports indicate the husband planned on selling a piece of land which the two wives disagreed, creating a disagreement between them.
The matter was reported to Danyame Zongo chief Nana Mazua, who invited the three to resolve the issue.
The culprit faked understanding and went home during the resolution for a gun to shoot dead his second wife, known as Adwoa.
Assembly Member for the area, Frederick Nyamekye and chief of the town, Nana Asamoah Ampem Dankwah attested the youth subjected the culprit to severe beatings before the Tepa District Police command intervened.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Tepa Government Hospital morgue whilst the suspect is receiving treatment at same hospital pending investigations.
