Fifty-six (56) pastors, after a successful completion of a one year intensive Diploma programme in Theology, have been ordained at the Archbishop Addae Theological Institute (AATI) in Kumasi.

Eight other ministers were also elevated to Very Reverend positions at the occasion.

The ordination was an initiative between the AATI the International Council of Churches and Ministers of Great Britain (ICCMGB).

The 28th graduation, ordination and elevation service, was held on Sunday April 14, 2024, at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi, under the theme; Rooted and Built up in Him.

Present at the well-attended service, were the Founder of AATI, Archbishop Dr. Samuel Richard Addae; Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, a Former Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Very Rev. Andrew Cilmour, Head Pastor, Caraan Ministry UK, ACP Frank Abrokwa, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, and some traditional leaders.

Live exemplary lives

Speaking at the ceremony, Archbishop Dr. Divine Agyemang Badu, the President of the ICCMGB, charged the new pastors to see their call as divine and bare in mind that many people would be looking up to them.

“You are the chosen ones. Live exemplary lives. You have been selected to lead the people and win more souls for Christ,” the man of God told the gathering.

He seized the opportunity to advise the congregation to rally behind these men and women of God in order for them to succeed in transforming the world.

Sermon

In his sermon, Apostle Dr. Opoku Onyinah, admonished Christians to continue to have faith in Christ since He was the beginning and the end.

“As long as Christ remains the pillar of hope, we Christians will never lack,” he assured the congregation.
