Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe believes Dreams FC will advance to the final against Zamalek at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.

Dreams FC and former Champions Zamalek drew 0-0 in the first leg of their CAF C onfederation Cup tie in Cairo on Sunday.

Despite facing a total of 25 shots, only six of which found the target, the Still Believe Boys rose to the challenge against one of the biggest clubs in African football by keeping the ball out of their net.

In an interview with Akoma FM on Monday, April 22, Bekoe highlighted the value of head coach Karim Zito and John Antwi’s experience.

“I believe they have been together for a long time because of their cohesiveness, telepathy, and all-around play.

“They also have one veteran player who is playing a key role, John Antwi. He is doing fantastically, utilizing his experience with the team to great effect. And with an experienced coach like Karim Zito, we know his track record and the phases he has gone through, so I’m not surprised because I know he’s the right Man for the job.”

After Dreams and Zamalek played to a scoreless draw in Cairo, Eric Bekoe is full of confidence that the Ghanaians will win the second leg in Kumasi and go to the finals.

“I also have faith in Zito, the boys, and the technical team. I think Zito will cross that bridge at Baba Yara with this draw.”

On Sunday, April 28, Dreams FC will play a more competitive second leg in Kumasi.

As the competition’s rookies, Dreams FC hope to establish a name for themselves in the Confederation Cup by making it to the final.
