Reports reaching 3news is that an accident has occurred on the Nsawam (Adoagyiri) around 5:30am involving eight vehicles.
A tanker is said to have exploded, causing several cars to catch fire.
Three persons were confirmed dead following the explosion at Ntoaso. Several others who sustained life-threatening injuries were rushed to the Nsawam Government Hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Saturday when a fuel tanker travelling towards Kumasi reportedly capsized along the shoulder of the busy highway.
