One person has been pronounced dead with twenty others sustaining varying degrees of injuries in an accident that occurred on the Accra – Cape Coast Highway.
The accident involved a stationary Man Diesel truck with registration number WR 1546-V and a Mercedes Sprinter with registration number CR 623-25 that was travelling towards Cape Coast.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Tuesday, September 23, 2025, some of its Rescue Team was dispatched to the scene about 5:30 this morning in response to the accident.
The fire rescue team on arrival, extricated the trapped victims and assisted in conveying them to Cape Coast Hospital by the National Ambulance Service.
According to eyewitness, the Sprinter Minibus run into the Man Diesel truck which was parked on the road due to mechanical problem when it attempted making an overtaking.
The National Ambulance Service, National Road Safety Authority and the Ghana Police Service collaborated in managing the situation.
