An 8-bedroom house has been ravaged by fire at Tesano, a suburb of Accra Wednesday afternoon, October 24, 2023.
According to the house help, she heard an explosion but did not realise it came from the house until a second and more severe one occurred.
Even thought no casualty was recorded, the belongings of the occupants were all burnt in the inferno which started around 9:30 in the forenoon.
The structure had almost been destroyed with its belongings at the time personnel of the Ghana National Service arrived about 30 minutes into the start of the fire.
Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours before finally bringing it under control.
The cause of the fire has not been determined yet as investigations are yet to commence.
Residents of Tesano who witnessed the fire expressed shock and disbelief with some saying they have never witnessed the magnitude of the inferno in the area before.
