The Nigerian national football team, Green Eagles, last night lost the finals of the AFCON 2023 to host nation Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles took the lead by a goal in the first half of the game courtesy to a brilliant header from Captain William Troost Ekong but failed to protect their lead and ended up losing by two goals to one.
The frustrating defeat for the Nigerians has been met with various reactions from Ghanaians on social media. While the Nigerians are counting their losses, the Ghanaian counterparts have decided to lead a troll and jibe against their West African neighbours.
Nigerians win would have equalised the number of times Ghana has won the African Cup of Nations tournament – four times. Nigeria currently has three AFCON trophies.
Ghanaian celebrities like John Dumelo, Bridget Otoo, Kidi, Manifest, Black Sherif and others have mocked their fellow Nigerians.
