Shatta Wale’s advice to Ghanaian youth in the midst only the ongoing economic downturn is to abstain from politicians and put premium on their lives.

The Reggae Dancehall sensation says the duality of everything about Ghana –NPP and NDC –making people forgo their reason in seeing things from an objective point of view has gone a long way to affect things negatively in Ghana.

During his encounter with Captain Smart on Onua TV/FM’s Maakye Thursday, November 3, 2022, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. held both Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Dramani Mahama are doing family business with the state, and it was time the youth reasoned to detect their intent to stay away from them.

“My people of Ghana, if we can go and form queues to vote for somebody to come to power and they come and make these mistakes… I was here in the Mahama government when people were saying he wasn’t doing anything. Now, you guys brought Akufo-Addo and you guys are saying he is not doing anything. If you can go and stand in a queue to go and vote for a president this time with the situation you are seeing then it means it is your own problem.

“You want to carry that load yourself, I don’t want to carry it because it is getting too much and either we all decide not to vote and look for a right person for the country, because these complains that if this one comes he will come and do better and Mahama will come and he will also come and do the same thing that Akufo-Addo was doing, they are running family business. That is what I want to tell you. So let’s rise and advise ourselves and find a proper leader for this country because these fuel prices and dollar price, people are dying in this country and I believe you guys need to decide for yourselves because me I don’t think I’d even have that time to vote for a politician that I know wouldn’t do anything for me, so I do things for myself and so advise yourselves Ghanaians and I love you,” he counseled.
