Broadcast journalist Blessed Godsbrain Smart has told President Akufo-Addo to step down to save the little image he has.
According to him, the hardship and other misfortunes that have befallen the state is unprecedented, the reason he should step down to save himself some honour.
Speaking Thursday on Onua TV/FM’s morning show, Captain Smart held the current state of affairs regarding famine is worse than the 1983 year.
The President, Captain Smart noted has made ‘sika apɛ dede’ to wit money has loved noise as opposed to the infamous quote he made during his speech Sunday which indicated money does not like noise.
Listing the ills of his administration that requires him to step down, Captain Smart opined Akufo-Addo is the only president in Ghana’s history since the Gold Coast days to surround his governace with family who enrich themselves at expense of the state. This assertion follows the 9% commission the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, who is the President’s nephew takes whenever Ghana goes for a loan.
Intimidation of the media he added is also unprecedented under the Akufo-Addo administration with the increase in fuel prices happening overnight whilst the Cedi depreciates in hourly basis.
Captain Smart advised further that the President can fake sickness and and hand over to Bawumia if he feels ashamed to resign.
“With all due respect, step down now and save your image. Operation Nana si fɔm,” he charged.
