Host of Maakye on Onua TV/FM, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, has said he will not waste his time on illegal mining otherwise known as galamsey again.
He alleges the turn of events clearly indicate “President Akufo-Addo is actively involved in the act and there is nothing he can do to fight the menace.”
Speaking on the show Monday, October 17, 2022, Captain Smart noted it is a waste of time to talk about galamsey whilst the president who claims to be fighting it is actively involved.
According to Captain Smart, events that have emerged amidst comments from top personalities in the country the past few weeks is an indication of a failed course.
Whilst the Mr. Akufo-Addo has suspended the Bosome Freho DCE after calling him out during his visit and meeting with the National House of Chiefs and his appointees, Captain Smart says the President lacks the bravado to take the man who claims he has Akufo-Addo in his pocket on.
Also, Chairman Wontumi’s alleged attempt to slap the Lands and Natural Resources minister, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, for collapsing his [galamsey] businesses without the president taking him on affirms Wontumi’s claim of having the president in his pocket.
Captain Smart says until something serious happens on a galamsey site or an important person like the Asantehene speaks about the act, he will not waste his time to talk about the devastating effect of galamsey again.
