Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC failed to make it to the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League following a 3-2 defeat to SC Casablanca on Wednesday.

The highly tensed semi-final game between the Ghanaians and the Moroccans was the second on the day.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies took an early lead in the 6th minute when Comfort Yeboah converted from the spot.

But barely 20 minutes later she conceded an own goal.

Jennifer Owusua was on target to put the Ghanaians in the lead for the second time in the game.

But the Moroccans came back from the break strongly to equalise.

The match went into extra time and after no more goals separated the two sides, it went into shootouts.

The Moroccans won by 3 goals to 2.

They thus qualify to face South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in Sunday’s final.
